Three Rivers Medical Center’s rehabilitation services are designed to help patients through the process of recovering from injury or illness. Our goal is to help people regain their independence and improve their lives.
Whether you’ve suffered an injury at work or on the field, are recovering from surgery or just want to better manage your pain, Three Rivers Medical Center can help. Our therapists can create a personalized plan that improves movement, balance, endurance, and strength—helping you move onward, upward and forward. The rehabilitation program features physical therapists that provide care on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Working closely with you and your primary physician, we'll design a tailor-made plan to treat your pain and restore movement, balance and strength. And we place special focus on education, arming you with tools and strategies to prevent re-injury.
Personalized Programs to Get You Back to Your Life
Rehabilitation specialties at Three Rivers Medical Center:
- Physical Therapy: We provide comprehensive exercise and strength and conditioning therapies for severe arthritis, orthopedic trauma as well as other bone and joint injuries. From your initial assessment to your last session, your therapist is here to help you get back on your feet—and to your life.
- Occupational Therapy: The therapists at Three Rivers Medical Center can help you regain the ability to perform daily tasks and improve quality of life following an illness or injury. We simulate work and home-living situations for activities such as bathing, grooming, meal planning and housekeeping. Along the way, your therapist will provide progress assessments and make any adjustments to maximize your success.
- Pre- & Post-Operative Therapy: If you're scheduled for a procedure like joint replacement, our program is designed to make your recovery as swift and seamless as possible. Prior to the big day, you'll participate in a pre-hab program, with exercises designed to strengthen muscles around the joint. Following your procedure, you'll participate in group therapy in the Joint Gym; or, if you prefer, we can arrange for physical therapy in the privacy of your room. Though everyone's different, we'll work to get you up and moving the same day as surgery, and help you achieve your goals throughout your stay. During this time, we'll also evaluate you to determine if outpatient therapy and/or home health care is needed, and will coordinate all efforts with you.
